I already own one and love it.
Compared to our trucks, yes it is better gas mileage, but to a car, its not much. Cruisers are lucky to see 30mpg and the tires and brake pads wear out faster than a car or truck. Cruising is for people that enjoy motorcycling and should be that way. Not as an alternate for better gas mileage...thats just stupid, especially if commuting in traffic.

Gotta convince the boss

I'd really like to get a street bike. Cruiser, sport, enduro; it doesn't matter to me. My commute is 300 miles a week! Add weekend trips to the in-laws in the Bay Area or a day in the mountains and the gas $$$$ adds up. Logically, it makes sense.

But the boss (aka my wife) is very much against me getting squashed by some idjit in an H2. She would like to keep her baby-daddy around to help raise the little squirts.

Yah I already have one, bought it new in '03. Well it's really a 650 super scooter. Love riding it. The photo is in Colorado and yes that's snow in the background.

No...The pipes are loud because I want them that way LOL! It's just an added benefit that they get attention. As to the chrome, again..it's for looks but all the reflective properties would have the added benefit of making the bike more noticable and visible.

Had one when I was younger, would get one again if I had the time to ride it and the money to burn. For now I'm having more fun spending money on my Fronty. Definitely see an ATV in my future, but got to get the barn built and sell my '68 Mustang first.
