Yeah I paid , $3.99 for 87 , yesterday for a gallon. I get around 20 mpg in my truck, pulling a trailer , so people who are getting less and driving their trucks too hard !!! Bush $ucks , he's needs to rectify this before he leaves. Anyway , I get about 32 on my Ironhead, but it would sure suck to have to pull my work trailer with it...

Buying a Harley you're paying for a brand name basically. Import bikes such as Honda, Kawi, Suzuki, and Yamaha are way more dependable and a lot cheaper to buy. See if you can find a Sentra you want for 10k?

Yeah my sporty isn't reliable at all , some times it kicks over in 3 kicks , some times it's 35 , thats what you get with a real mans harley. After all it is an xlch ( Racing sportster, that won events at bonneville ) The newer push button electric starts anyone could ride and do. but it looks good , is a good conversational piece, and gets alot of looks from the weekend warriors on their $50,000 Choppers

If you want reliability, buy somthing from the orient, it'll last forever ! Thats why we have Nissans, ...right ?

They don't do anything for me so, no. My brother though is into Ducatis.
Harelys are obnoxious, I can't stand them.
As far as the 'sport' bikes go I can't believe the stunts riders pull. I see them doing wheelies (from highway speeds) and it scares me half to death yet on the other hand I marvel at how they can do that at speed without flipping over. At least they wear helmets as opposed to the Harley riders who refuse to.

This Harley rider wears a helmet ! Your state should get up with the times and make it mandatory like California has. Loud Harleys are for safety ! Most car drivers don't see motorcycles on the road, so mine and most others motto is " Loud pipes save lives " I only ride mine now and again, maybe twice a month and it;s normally just around the general area, except for an occasional run. There are alot of A$$holes on bikes out there, and they won't last long, they'll eat it off a cliff or eat some kenworth grill ... I've seen it happen...

I was going to buy a bike today. I have decided not to do it just yet, need to do some home improvements first.

I have had mine for 4 months and love it. Stupid cheap insurance, payments, and gas. I bought a bike that I can get off pretty easily if I needed to being on a Supermoto. You have to pay a lot more attention when you ride. Biggest thing is stay out of peoples blind spots, be ready to brake at intersections, look at driveways, ect... Most people drive like crap and you should do these things even in cars. Overall if its your time its just your time car, motorcycle, walking or sitting at a bus stop. Leave the racing for the track. RIDE SMART!!! DRESS FOR THE UNEXPECTED!!!
