I should note both times were totally my fault. Although I could blame it on bad tires both times....
Now THAT sucks! How are you doing these days?

Luckily for me I have had a LOT of practice falling at high speeds....used to be a pro/semi-pro skateboarder. Jump, tuck, roll so your body never absorbs all of the impact of the energy; it gets disbursed through the roll.

Doing pretty good. The ankle doesn't bend much towards my shin, but my shoulder is as good as new unless I have to sit still for a long time. It wasn't the whole falling thing that got me- it was the sudden deceleration when I hit the berm and when the bike landed on me. When I broke my shoulder I was even wearing my leathers.

i know my pic would be a yamaha FZ6 i sat on one last time i was in Georgia and i could actually feel comfortable on it, its hard consdiering im not the smallest guy and my legs cant reach much because of my height. The 2008 model seems good for my reasons as a mostly city but fun riden bike, that can be taken to the mountains or other curvey road areas.

Those are a nice bike. I started looking at nakeds and I quickly realized the FZs are some of the few that have adjustable front suspension. Not quite enough steam for a street bike though.

Yep - would love to if hte funds werent goin' other places right now.
Would go and get the enduro style (that seems to be gaining popularity like crazy around here).
Love the BMW but cant afford so it would have to be either the Kawasaki KDR or the Suzuki DR.
I saw that Suzi today during lunch and man did it sound phat!

we've got two, a BMW F650GS and a Kawasaki Vulcan 500. Just sold the Honda CRF150. Didn't buy them because of gas prices, we did it just because we wanted to.

No thanks. Done the motorcycle thing. Two close calls in a row and it was back to 4 wheels with lots of sheet metal around me.
