I wanted the cab space plus I've never been short on bed space for hauling. Thus the CC SB is the right truck for me.
Lol, my truck weighs 4500lbs curb. Then add in all the crap I put on it. With me in it I'm sure its over 5Klbs. Does anyone know much a LWB 2nd gen 4wd weighs? I imagine its right at 4800lbs curb.

While liked the "look" of the SWB better, I origionally set out to buy a LWB CC for functionality. After a few test drives though, I realized that the SWB was SO much easier to turn, back-up, park etc. TEH LWB turns like a school bus IMHO. Ride quality was a wash. With some honest soul searching, I also realized the the SWB 's bed was long enough for 90% of what I routinely haul . With the adition of a simple "extend a bed, truck bed extender), I could haul anything I dared in the LWB and more. Using that hitch mounted extender, I have hauled 14' boats in my SWB. It's worked out very well. No regrets.

Lwb Cc

It could just be me, but Id never buy a truck with a short bed. The Fronty LWB is considered (I think) to be a 'standard bed', and is not really a long bed (which is 8', not 6' on many other rigs). While I understand the Long Wheel Base of "LWB", many people seem to be referring to the 'LWB' as if it had a long bed, which it dosen't. Its just that the non-standard model is an 'extra-shorty'.

I use the Fronty daily for work, to haul tools, wood, soil, rocks and bodies. Have relied on the full bed daily for six + months. As for looks, the short beds look to me to be sort of beefed up golf-carts, and anyway, because of fuel costs I would not commute in a truck just to be in a "truck". YMMV.

My choice too. That's why I am "Fitz In Garage".

My sb had done everything I've asked of it (firewood, plywood, camping gear, family trips, yard trash, etc.) and the bed extender has been quite useful too.

My only complaints are with Frontier's width (I'd have made it a bit narrower, akin to Colorado) and improved the turning radius.

cc sb for me. i like the looks. test drove a cc lb a few weeks ago, and turning radius is an issue. some of the streets here in atlanta were not designed for cars period, and long bed makes that issue worse. i have used my bed extender a few times, and it works just fine. thats just me though. for the space i would get a titan. some one at my office has an 05 titan and parked side by side, titan bed seems to have quite a bit more cargo room.
but to each his/her own, they are all good

Long bed here, in most cases for business I could have really used the 7-ft with the 08.5 Titan, but my fuel budget doesn't allow for a Titan. I would buy an SUV before I got a short-box truck, IMO short boxed trucks are for "Home Owners" & "Soccer Moms" to get any real work done you need a minimum of a 6-ft box. And to all of you using the excuse if I needed a bigger box I would have got a full-sized truck. Heres some news as a contractor in this current economy I would normally need a full sized but I stepped down to a mid-sized for fuel consumption and the Frontier was the best one for my money. And yes the turning radius is horrible despite an otherwise fantastic truck.

+1 on the turn raidus.

I chose the long bed since I transport my Sportbike in it for track days.
