I don't like the way the CC long bed looks and if I needed a truck that big I would get a full size.

x2 on that.. same with swaping a v8.

I wheel mine, swb is better, but if I link the back I can't get 2:1 shock ratio, but I will cross that bridge when i get to the.. hmm I got the money to link the rear of my truck bridge.. but before that is the I have the money to cage my truck bridge. right now I'm stareing at the.. wait gas is $3.99 and it's not the good stuff bridge.. luckly my gheto home is only 20 miles away and it's only $3.59 there.

My 04 F-150 definitely had a better turning radius and was about a foot longer. I have an 07 crew cab with the 6' bed. My ATV fits in it so I don't have to tow, and I like the way they look lifted ( hopefully soon, 5" or more ). My dad has a short bed which fits almost nothing in it. The flat of the back tires of the quad barely fit on the end of his tailgate and hangs over about 6". A little too scary for me to have almost half of a 6,000.00$ quad sitting on the tailgate. I'm all for the longbed.

i've been driving an 02 f250 diesel lwb for the past few months and i HATE driving it. You can't park it anywhere. You can't turn around anywhere.... Here in a few days i hope to trade it in on a NISMO.

i guess its all preference. i think the CC short beds look funny.
i'll admit the short bed wheels better. but its a sacrifice i'm willing to make to fit stuff (bikes, etc).

and i dont need a full size truck to do all i need, but the long bed is pretty invaluable.

its all preference, really.

dhmachine86,

I'm not trying to offend anyone, I just don't like the Gen I LB it appears that they didn't stretch the wheel base out enough and there is a lot of bed behind the rear wheels is all.

I'm not impressed with our turn radius (I had a 98 F150 that turned tighter and my buddies Chevy definitely has a better turning radius), but if I could have purchased my NISMO with the LWB I would have. I'm not sure how much worse the turning could possibly be, but I'm all for leaving the trailer in the driveway and putting more stuff in the bed.

haha, dont take that wrong. not offended at all.

I'm perfectly happy with mine i was just curious. I'll give it to you that there's alot of bed back there: it tends to smack down on stuff quite a bit offroad. which is annoying as all get out, and where the shortbed wins. but show me a shortbed that can fit as much stuff as a longbed, and i'll get one...

well....I opted for shortbed because...

Dont haul that much to justify the long bed (plus extender works well if you need extra room)

LB cost a little more...

LB would not fit in garage

turning radius is better on SB

I like the look of the SB better

This is to subject to personnel option. Put them side by side at the dealer. I will say this, my motorcycle does not fit in the short bed even with thew tailgate down, but the long bed would be a tight squeeze in the garage. These are things you need to think about.
