I subscribe to Texas Fish and game and read/watch on tv that reds can be fished like freshwater bass, Spinner baits, shrimp style crank baits, and some variation of a bobber popper. though people around the coast that use live bait use shrimp.<

As for saltwater, like I said I've been waiting my hole life for someone to take me. some of my friends have bay house in Port Aransas, Chorpis and Galveston areas, still never been. Then again the Coast is a 8-10 hour drive from Way out West Texas. San Angelo to be exact. check your maps.

here are a few pics from last weekend when i took my dad and brother fishing.

this was my biggest catch of the day.

here is my dads biggest fish, 40 pound drum.

one of my dads many redfish he caught

ive found the best bait for red fish is shrimp, frozen or fresh. eather on a bottom line, or with a bobber. live shrimp is great for trout around here. ive also caught reds with gold spoons, crank baits.

I either use soft plastics that resemble shrimp or if I'm going for the big boys I use topwater baits.

Ive Heard About Those On Espn Bassmasters Tour, They Are Pretty Rare Down South But They Grow Big Up North, Ive Also Heard They Have "prince Alberts" Whatever That Means. Anyway I Think Thats One Of Those Pierced Lip Bass, Nice Catch.
