i want to go kicker all the way. amps sub and separates if possible. however, my backup brand would be JL audio.

the first time i heard a kicker sub pound was at work, my co-worker ha a single s12l7 in a big box with an amp pushing around 800 watts. i thought the bass it produced was really really good...

well I would personally go with 2 8 solo barcs L7s or one Comp VR 10, your going to knock your self silly with the VR they sound amayzing. but kickers hit HARD above 10s, Thats why I'm going JL route when I redo it

thanks for the input. that will narrow down my options...

you did upgrade the HU along with the subs and amp right? do you think it would be ok if i leave the stock HU alone for now?

When i first did my system i did up grade the head unit, to a base pioneer, now I have the crazy AVH 6800 DVD, if you can get the AVIC D3 its crazy and cheep for a double din navi, only 1000 retail

whoa the d3 is only 1000? i was thinking somewhere along the lines of 1500. thats waaay cheep. to top it off i have alwaysliked pioneer HUs...

the thing is though, i might not have enough budget for the subs, amp, box AND d3.....
