Awesome shots HK

See the spots in the blue sky? That is dust on your sensor. Search around on how to clean it as it is easy once you try it once or twice.

Very nice. This is the reason I love living in the mountains so much. I went driving yesterday afternoon for 2.5 hours up around Highlands and it was just gorgeous. I didn't even mind the ridiculous amount of tourists so much

shenandoah valley

that first set reminds me of the section of the BRP that runs through shenandoah valley. Used to go skiiing at Massanutten when I was in Junior College (ie. community)

the BRP goes up into that valley... very similar landscapes tho i think i like the shenandoah valley better, it just take a lot longer to get to from here, about 3 hours or so

I use a product called GreenClean and it's disposable and kinda pricey. like 10 bucks a shot. I've cleaned my Nikon D80 2 times without incident.

What I do, is find a nice dust free room...the bathroom works good I found. Then I setup my tripod with the camera body on only. Take off the lens cap and inspect the sensor with a real bright light(and a magnifing glass if you like). Then I take one of the disposable plastic aplicators/wet swab a give it a wipe, from one side to the other, going over the whole sensor. You can use a fair bit of pressure here, but not too much obviously because if you scratch/crack your low-pass filter covering your sensor you have yourself a nice paperweight...lol All DSLR's have a low-pass/anti-aliasing filter in front of the cameras sensor. Anyway back to the cleaning; after I wipe with a wet swab, they also provide a dry one. Repeat the same process as the first swab, and its just that simple. You can go on YouTube and search for videos...
