How to post a pic at C/F PHOTO CLUB

Perhaps a moderator can make this a sticky so everyone who needs to know can find it easily

first you need somewhere to host the pics that allow "hot linking" and photobucket is a fairly easy one to use.
click on this link which take you there http://photobucket.com
in the blue band click on "sign up" and fill out the form to get a free account.
they will send a confirmation email with a link on it which you have to click on to activate your new account.
log on to photobucket and a page will come up, look for the section marked "add album" and type in a name then click "create"

When the page changes look down the bottom and you will find the new album name you have just created.
click on the name [not the little round button beside it] and it will go to that page.

find the section marked "add pictures" and click on "browse".
a browse widow opens up which allows you to search your computer for the pic you want.
go to where your picture is stored on your computer and find the picture and click on the small picture ... a blue border should surround it.
click on the "open" button and the browse window should close and you can then click the "submit" button then wait a few minutes for the red writing saying "picture added" comes up and then you can add another pic in the same way.
[Photobucket resizes your pics for you which takes a little time, its quicker if you resize them yourself before submitting them but you have to know how to do that]
you will find it easier to open up two windows if you are going to post more than one pic up on a thread.
Open up Club Frontier and type up your message then click on the "minimise" button in the top left of your screen.
click on the start button at bottom left and then click on "Internet explorer" which should open up a new window.
click on favorites to find the photobucket site [if you dont have it in favorites you will have to click on the address line up the top so that the current address gets highlighted then type in www.photobucket.com and click "go" at the end of your address line] then go to the pic you want to put into your message and left click the bottom button beside the "Img" word to highlight the words inside that button and then right click on the highlighted words and select copy.

click on the Club Frontier button at the bottom of your screen and that site should come up with your unfinished message in it, left click on a new line just below your message and then rightclick and select "paste" and your address for the pic should appear then click submit and your message with the pic should appear.
if you wanted to put more than one pic in the message, go back to photobucket and copy another address and paste it in below the address of the first one etc etc then click submit
good luck and hope to see your pics soon.

IMAGE RESIZER:
found one that seems to work very well and easily ... all i have to do is right click on the pic and select the size [i use 800 x 600] which makes a copy EG "XYZ" becomes "XYZ [medium]"
the link to get the free tool is ...
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
scroll down the right hand side until you see "image resizer"

Hope this helps
