The polygonal lasso can be found by clicking and holding over the "lasso" tool and the other lassos will show up. Select the angular looking one.
The polygonal lasso is also easy although it takes a little time to get a good selection.
Zoom into what you're selecting and as you click around the car, use the spacebar to "toggle" to the "hand" tool to move your view. Release the spacebar and you're toggled back to the poly lasso.
After you've selected your area, go to "selction" "Feather" and set your feather settings to between 1 and 3 (whatever works for you) to get a somewhat blurry edge for better blending.

Sorry, I've never used the polygon tool before so I don't know how to get rid of the lines. I hope my other suggestions help, though. You're chop looks good so far even though I'm not a big fan of green cars.
Thanks much for the input, and I actually was using the polygonal lasso tool, it's the only one I ever use! Just for some reason it left behind lines...oh well, I'll see what I can do, maybe I'll be in for a long week of copy and pasting!!! Thanks again, for the help and the compliment.

Looks, sweet, different color, and is that a Dodge, maybe Charger or Magnum Grill? Nice touch!

Hey, Cadillac may be calling you with a job in their design department! Or then again, it may be their lawyers wanting to know where you got the picture of the Dodge CTS! LOL!

I use that tool A LOT. Try using the history brush..right under your regular brush and it should take away the lines to what was originally there. You can adjust the brush width for tight areas.

LMAO thanks for the compliments guys. i didnt think there was any hope for a already ugly car, but i kinda like it, i might drive it lol.

heres more details...

the front lip is from a dodge magnum as well as the raised hood.

and in the grill i just put the billet grill over the horizontal plastic bar that gave it the dodge look. in hopes it would take the dodge out a little bit. and then i shaved the dodge logo.

i chopped the top because i felt it was way to ttall.

the wheels are came off a chrysler 300c. evadently aftermarket so im not sure what they are.

shaved the handels and such.

the side skirts off a honda civic, and actually the rear bumper, is the back half of the same side skirt, just distored and blended to look better as a bumper. then just went with orange paint.

and then i stopped there. i coulda lowered it, and tinted windows, but i didnt think it was nesscesary, i thought it looked fine just like it was.

so now you can stop wondering what it is lol. im thinking since it needs to start with a C its going to be a Caddy Magnum!

that's an awesome effect finding, but i'd love to see what someone can do with a good "body kit" on the original car, that green that 05 used was a really good color... i think silver would be really hot too on this car
