Box for 05-07 King Cabs?

Do you guys have any plans for doing a box for us KC owners?

I'd love to put a 10" sub between the rear jump seats.

Thanks,
Ken

yeah x2 on this question! i've been thinking of fabing up a box but i'd rather just buy one if ya'll can make one... where's your local? i'll be happy to be a demo truck if nearby!

edit: nvm ya'll are quite a ways away... although your prices on subs are hard to beat!

no you wont be able to use the seats, but you could probably wouldnt have to remove them either.... the box takes up the whole back seat..... but thias is just the first one to be released, there could always be more in the makings

that's a pretty sweet box, but i really want something smaller for one sub. i want to be able to keep my seats "usable" and keep my rear storage tray. either under the PS seat, between the rear seats on the tranny tunnel or under either front seat (DS is a good candidate since that's where the Xterra's "RF" sub is), but at least the KC guys are getting some notice!

Under the passenger seat there isn't much room, I didn't check the drivers seat. You might fit an amp under the passenger seat & small sub uner the drivers seat. Also, those rear seat heater vents are right in the middle. Might have to do something about that...

i was hoping one of those shallow mount pioneers (3" i believe) would fit 10" sized. it'd take alot of measuring and i'd probably want it downfiring instead of into my butt lol

I think if they came out with an 8" shallow mount it would easily fit. Pioneer says the mounting depth is 2 7/8". Then you gotta add your box thickness, which will be at least 1 1/8". So thats 4" at least. I think to do that you might have to run your heater vents around your sub box for it to fit good.

Been there, done that on the attempt at the 8" Pioneer shallow mount under the seat. Used 1/2" MDF to try to maximize cubic ft while minimizing the footprint and depth of the enclosure in hopes of putting it under the passenger seat. No way that will work, unless you go with a custom-formed fiberglass enclosure. Even fiberglassed, it absolutely won't work if you want to add the clearance required for downfiring. I even tried removing the floor vents under the carpet to gain more mounting depth...still didn't fit. The 8" requires a minimum 0.15 cf. My enclosure was 0.19 cf, and still too big for underseat. See attached photo.

However, you could make use of the benefits of this shallow sub if you wanted to build an enclosure for behind the rear seat. In that application, this speaker would be a very good fit, and you could build your box to the "optimum" size of 0.4 cf (size range is 0.15-0.5cf). I bought mine for I think $90 shipped new off eBay. Will sell it barely used for $60 + shipping if you are interested. Model # is TS-SW841D.
