Trailblaza Fridge by Norcoast

I purchased a 60L Fridge from Norcoast Pty Ltd of Caloundra with Aluminium inner and outer covers, 75mm insulation, dual temp range, with my own personalized plate (Ozroder Fridge) and I also got an interior light, gas strut, and thick top cover..............S/Steel handles and S/Steel turnbuckle tie downs to keep it in place.

60L gives me enough room to fit drinks on top and meat under for longer stays in the bush............but the idea is to plan the meals in between each town and just carry enough frozen meat to cover those meals..........that way you stock up with fresh food regularly and this does not give the meat in particular time to go off...............

I have not run the freezer long enough on the battery to see how long it takes to drain down to nothing but I expect it would last quite a few days once fridge and items inside have reached full freeze temperature.

Deep Cell battery should not take more than 3 or 4 hours to come back to full charge and when using a battery isolator it will not impact main battery charging at all.

A tip with any camping fridge is to run it on mains power and get it to the operating temp desired before heading off into the bush with all the frozen food items inside and of course to keep the lid open the minimum time when on 12Volt power.........

Pics to follow in the next day or so but website will show much.........to me it is the Rolls Royce of Camping Fridges.

All the best, Ozroder

Here are the pics as promised..........Ozroder

I would agree with the trailblaza being an awesome fridge. Especially if the fridge is going to be out in the elements a lot.

There biggest down fall is the physical size of the fridge. They are huge compared to other fridges with a similar capacity.

I have an ARB 60ltr fridge/freeze that I can not fault. When in the Patrol it lives on the tray and has spent many days in the rain and many more covered in dust. Also have the Evacool 60ltr fridge/freezer. And as you said above, it only works best if it has been on for a few days prior to camping.
