Thumbs up New D40 Models

Saw an ad on the TV tonight saying that Nissan Oz in now selling the D40 in single cab, king cab and the dual cab. Wonder if the trucks are still coming from Spain, or does this represent the cut over to the Thai sourced vehicles? A quick look at the Nissan website shows a few new colours as well.
Cheers Moorie.

Yeah but seems like only in the newer models really. I think our beloved Crew cab is now available in red. The others are available in a different black so that will make things interesting.

On the single cab, is it a 6' or 8' bed?

Judging by the colour range for the kings could be they're coming from somewhere else as the colour choice is totally different to the dual cab version.
The king cab also gets tub liner and remote fuel filler release on the ST-X as well.

king cabs have been out for a year or so.

however this is the first i've heard of ANY single cab D40.
if thats the case i would expect them to do away with the D22 which would mean the next ute will be toyota. sorry but the D40 simply cannot fit where i go.

it will be interesting to see the spec, if it comes with good old manual hubs etc.

Not here in Oz. The King cab has just been released.

There has been a single cab chassis in the d40 for a while although not sure how long, saw them at the dealer when i was looking for my dual cab that was 2-3 months ago now.

Single cab is cab chassis only, king cab specs show tray 1865mm in length.

i might have to eat my words here. the specs show the D40 single cab as been skinner than the D22. how did they shave over 2" off the width? unless someone used 2WD specs.

Front/rear track 20mm less on single overall width 55mm. Still to the eye look the same.
My 4x2 dual has same dimensions as 4x4.

I think the D40's come from either Spain where the originals came from or their new plants in Thailand. I wasnt aware that these trucks were even available in Japan as they dont appear anywhere on their Japan Website.
