I'm pretty sure PRG's SAWs use a 7/8" over calmini's 5/8" shaft at the same price.

yes but what greg does is tune them to your application thats the difference

I have decided to leave the front coil overs off my list for now, just couldn't justify the cost for the handling outcome, after all it's still a truck. Just going to get lowered coils for the front, reset the rear leafs and get some better rear shocks. Will come in at way less than half the cost of using coilovers. Should still handle much better and with the heavier front springs reduce a lot of the body roll.
For the handling thing looking at adding an FG XR6 turbo to the garage, the Navara's for work and a tax deduction.

In my research into lift kit, coil over fronts, rear leaves etc and talking to the guys in the States as well as Oz and getting comments from many guys on here into their personal experiences with their own suspension setups I have come to the conclusion that for over the shelf suspension purchases there are 2 rates available:
1 A - Front Spring and coil over to 3.5" lift max with shocks valved for a spring rate without steel bullbar and winch. 1 B - Front Spring and coil over to 3.5" lift max with shocks valved for a spring rate that includes aftermarket bullbar and winch. 2A - Rear shocks 3" extended over stock and valved to suit a leaf spring setup for 0 - 300kg 2B - Rear shocks 3" extended over stock and valved to suit a leaf spring setup for 300kg to 1000kg I also found that unless you are going to have up to 1000kg on all the time it would be prudent to stay away from this 300 to 1000kg spring rate...... If you plan to carry a camper (like me) on your outback adventures then you may have to go to extended poly air bags to counter the rear sagging, then simply take them out until your next trip or put up with the rear end poggoing quite a bit when the back is empty with air bags. All springs front and rear settle about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch over time...... After the over the shelf 3" setups there is the custom applications where some companies will re-valve the shocks to suit for a particular application.........these applications are generally considered hi speed desert or mud, rock, steep tracks and some of these companies go into testing in a big way to find the right spring/shock valve combination to suit. I have found that Australian spring/shock companies have tended to supply heavier spring rates that suit Australian condition as compared to the States but in the last eight or so years the springs have become softer and more in line with the setups the States offer..........to give a much improved ride like a car for our 4x4`s........ Australia`s Kings Springs is flavour of the month with many dealers at the moment....(probably more to do with pricing to the dealer than how good the spring is!) However a 600lb spring from one company is going to act the same as a 600lb spring from another company especially if the base metal is the same..........some just go off the boil quicker than others.....(lose their compressive strength and begin to sag)....... The only way to tell what the ride will be like is to know the unloaded spring compressive poundage and the loaded to coil bind full poundage..........the same as you would do for a set of engine head springs...........with obviously lower poundage giving softer ride......... Shipping coilover shocks and upper arms is going to cost 500 plus dependant on the current rate of exchange.............. I have decided to stick with Total Chaos Upper Control Arms and their recommendation of 2.0 Emulsion type ICON Shocks with Eibach Coil overs (Donahue Racing Shocks......supposedly Americas best Shock company........we will see!) with the heavy valving to suit a winch and steel bullbar and ICON 2.0 remote reservoir 3" extended rear shocks valved to suit the 0 to 300kg leaf springs............. For me...........rear leaf springs should have teflon sliders between each leaf with good quality bushings that allow some flex.................. All the best, Ozroder
