Yet another leak....after not driving!!

I have had an on and off leak somewhere up by the intake manifold. But this morning really got to me. I last drove my truck Friday night. Yesterday used the wifes car and mine did not move. Now this morning I have about a 4"dia puddle right under the front of the truck (think middle to front of the block). No clue where it is coming from. It has been in the 80's during the day and maybe 50's at night. Seems to be some sort of seal or something leaking from expansion/contraction.

Anyone else ever had an issue like this? For now I am kinda ignoring it as it is not a constant everyday drip.

oil, coolant, etc?

Front of the truck is coolant, however, power steering is up there too.

Coolant leak could be at the radiator, hoses, intake, reservoir, etc.

Telling us what the puddle is would be a big help to narrow it down.

is electromagnetic ferro-fluid leaking out of the halide coupling between the quantum physics drive and the fusion powered space-time continuum disruptor ? if so your gonna have to go to the stealership.

Coolant leak, far enough back that it looks like it is coming from the front of the block. Waterpump was replaced less then 10K ago so I doubt it is that.

Took it out for a drive yesterday afternoon and no leaks after driving.

Did you replace the timing belt as the reason you replaced the water pump? It very well could be a leak from the water pump or the hose.

If you got the whole timing belt kit then they would have replaced the thermostat too. Which would lead me to believe that it could be an issue with the sealing of the thermostat too.

One last place to check and you probably did not have it done is the seal of the goose neck to the engine block. This is a known spot for coolant leaks. I recommend that anyone that get's their timing belt done to remove the goose neck and reseal it. To check this you need to take a flashlight and pull your truck in doors. Start shining the light around the radiator hose coming off the engine and then checking to see if coolant has pooled on top the engine block around the goose neck. There is not much room to look so you will need some patients.

The first place to start looking, is the last thing that was serviced. Sure it was "just done", but was it installed correctly ?
