volant or airaid?! ahhhh k&n possibly??

I am trying to decide on which one to get for my truck.

I know the airaid and volant is pretty popular but I am having trouble decidieing on which to get

I been trying to decide also....I'm leaning more towards Volant...has better reviews

The airaid doesn't replace the entire intake. This topic has been discussed many times. By which one you think looks best the gains for "full intakes" are all very similar.

I'm running the AirRaid in mine and I love it.
If you plan on doing any off-road though, get the bags for it. I made that mistake once, had to replace the filter.
The AirRaid uses the stock pipe and the filter box. Takes off the lid of the box and Replaces it with a metal surround.
Really easy to install, took me about 5 minutes. (mainly because I pulled the factory box out THEN relized I needed to leave it)
The gains weren't hugely noticeable but the sound increase was great.

Since this is for the first gen just do the air box mod and remove the fender resonator and call it good. I have a Volant sitting in the closet not being used. I could tell no difference between the Volant and the stock air intake mod.

I have the K&N drop in and made huge hole towards the fender side and it sounds amazing! No need to buy anything else.

now that I did the air box mod,I was wondering if i could route some sort of flex tubing that they sell for exaust and make ram air out of it if that would make a difference?

i have the k&n FIPK intake and i love it, under acce. it gives a nice growl as for performance i can tell it gave me a little, i'd go with the k&n.
