Thanks For The Input ... Why Would I Kill A Des. Runner? I Don't See A Purpose Of Lifting It And Making An Off Roading Truck When Mine Is 2WD... Unless The 4WD Conversions Is Cheap, Then I Would Consider It.. The Times I Did Go Off Roading I Got Stuck So Dont Open Your Mouth So Quick XE.

Not to point fingers or anything... but there are allot of people on here with DR's that get crazy muddy.I have seen a DR keep up on allot of trails. Just think that, for what you are intending your truck for. You would be better off to either sell it for a more functional "street truck" or buying a second smaller p-up for that purpose..

Besides its fun to get stuck.. thats why you make sure someone you are with can pull you out!

you can fit a small block chevy v8 in these things BUT!!! a very big BUT.. you need a solid front axle and a 4" body lift. and alot of other mods. efan, custom cross members. then main problem we seen is exshaust. you'd have to cut out inner fender to make it fit on the rs but left side with the steering shaft was the biggest hurdle. you guys got me curious and i had to go measure. i had a 350 block in a slammed s-10 for years and i still have the motor. way way to much work

you need to go find a 1988 - 1997 chevy 1500. 350. you can lift the crap out of them and still pull a low 13's in the 1/4 mile if the motor, trans and rear gears are set up right. just there is no cornering.
