Tranny / Drive Shaft

My Drive Shaft Is Basically Done From All The Off Roading I've Been Doing And What Not And I Know I Definitely Need A New One, Only Thing That Is Holding Me Back From Replacing It Is Me Wanting To Do A Motor Swap. With Me Trying To Do A Swap I Know I'm Going To Need A Stronger Rear With The Increase In Power. Didn't Know If Any One Knows If You Could Build Up The Rear ( Including The Drive Shaft ) With The Stock 3.3 Motor And Tranny Or Am I Going To Have To Do It All In One Shot Instead Of Bits And Pieces? Plus, If Someone Has Done A Swap, Could You Please Direct Me In The Right Direction With What I Need To Get / Do In Order To Make It As Smooth As Possible Without Causing A Major Headache And Making Me Go Broke All At Once. I Would Prefer To Build The Rear First, Then Do The Tranny Swap, Then The Motor... Please Respond So I Know What To Do Before My Drive Shaft Falls Off Cause Thats How Bad Its Getting LoL

in order to answer any of your questions i think you need to determine what motor and rear you plan to run.

btw.....the stock H233B nissan rear axle is plenty strong. unless your going over 300HP, i doubt you will ever have a problem.

I'm Still Trying To Figure That Out ... I Been Trying To See What Would Be The Smoothest Swap To Do But No One Has Given Me 100 % Feedback On Which Direction To Go ... So I'm Along The Lines Of The VG30 Or VG33

If you offroad as much as you say, what couldn't you do, that would suggest you need more power? Power isn't the weakpoint of these trucks. And changing a driveshaft wouldn't be real expensive.

No I Have The 3.3 6 Cylinder... I Mean I Just Started To Do The Off Roading Scene And I Like It, But All My Friends Have Street Cars And I'm The Only One With A Truck... So I'm The Only One That Could Go Off Roading In The Group... I Trying To Make This A Street Truck But I Cant Really Build Up The 3.3 Because It Would Be A Waste Of Money... I Mean I Never Heard Of A Supercharger Only Adding 50hp ... I Mean If Someone Has Built Up The 3.3, Let Me Know How It Is On The Street And I Would Consider, But I'm Looking For Strictly Street Performance

in that case...sell the frontier. you are not going to get any numbers out of your VG motor that are going to impress anyone (even with what little add ons that are available) and the rear is not going to have the proper gearing available to make it a street performance vehicle.

on the up side.....if you do get some cams, headers, exhaust, supercharger, intake....your rear axle is plenty strong to handle all of that!
