Tire opinions

I am going to order some new tires for my truck this week and will be putting them on the stock 15" dessert runner wheels....my question is i've been looking at the BFG A/T's, BFG M/T's, and the Firestone Destination M/T's on tirerack....I like the look of the more aggressive tires but don't do much offroading and don't mind the "hum" of having the M/T's....which would you guys recommend for what im looking to do, an A/T tire or a M/T?

Also, probably going to order the 31x10.5x15 since im not sure if 32's will fit....

I'd say get an aggressive looking AT if you're mostly on pavement. You're gonna need good wet-handling as well as good looks.

I always liked the look of the Dick Cepek FCII all terrains, myself.

I also like the BFG AT--and they are popular for a reason.
They're good handling AND good-looking.

nice looking tires but problems with manufacturer....i'd stay away from tires that are made by cooper...they seem to be recalling a lot of tires back...(mickey thompson, dick cepek, pro comp, cooper, hercules, most semi-major brands, etc.)....maxxis bighorn(mudder) is actually a pretty good choice and priced way less than a bfg and they handle exceptionally well...nitto terra grapplers are a very capable all terrain as well...

I didn't know all those brands were made by Cooper.
Good to know.

m/t wear very quickly cause of the compound....if they were only in dirt, they would last twice as long...if you look around a lot of a/t come with a 50k warranty...cause m/t have such large lugs and void, they cant seem to last that long unless you rotate every 3,000 miles and balance every other time....also, some a/t's come in standard 4 ply( good for those who hardly ever see trails and drive all highway) which means they will have a higher speed rating on the tire....most LT off road tires are 6 ply unless otherwise specified.....which is a good thing cause 10 ply are extremely heavy and rob performance....also, LT rated tires are a bit more aggressive than there 4 ply counterpart....
