I thought about posting a similar thread last week, regarding to this topic. Hopefully, this thread will help.

Anyways, for now, just volant intake, helper leaf spring, and custom magnaflow exhaust system. The camper top is too dam heavy, so im thinkin about replacing it with a soft cover to improve the mileage.

Edit: I have a manual and keep it under 2,500...19-20mpg on average. I do about 80% city driving. I keep it below 60mph wherever i go and avoid the highway.

a good accurate way is ti fill it up, all the way up, reset your trip, and then drive, when you go to refill you do this: say you went 290 miles, and to fill it up it was 17.6 gallons, divide 290 by 17.6 thatll give you the exact mpg, so you dont have to guestimate how much gas you have left in your tank, providing that each time you fill up you put the same (or close to it) amount in the tank to fill eer up

I get about 17 MPG in the city, but only because I drive along a lotta feeder roads that require a good amount of Accel/decel due to the lights.

For what its worth, I did the 1st Gen Airbox mod w/ K&N drop in.

Also replaced the distributor and cap. I'm gonna get the NGK spark plugs and wires to go with it.

After all that, I still drive with my BFG's lol...

I use trip B for my gas mileage info. I reset at every fill up and divide by gallons put into the truck.

Has anyone else taken the roof rack air dam and cross bars off? I have had it off the past month and my mileage has gone down by half a mile a gallon. Just want to know if anyone else has done this and what there results were.
