t-bar lift problem

So i was doing my t-bar lift today and did the passenger side fine but when i went to do the drivers side i guess i didn't spray enough wd-40 and when i was trying to turn the nut i ended up breaking the weld on the whole bolt. So now the t-bar bolt just spins whenever i try to adjust the nut. Is my only way of doing this taking it to a shop? Me and my pops tryed about everything.

I think you have the term nut and bolt mixed up.

Did you try to hold the nut with a wrench while turning the bolt?

x2

Spin the lock nut a couple of turns to move it up and out of the way. Hold the adjustment nut with a pair of vice grips or pliers or a wrench and use a 19mm (I think) socket to turn the adjustment bolt until you have as many turns as you want.

It's easier to hold the nut and spin the bolt. Make sure that you have your front end jacked up just enough to take the pressure off of the suspension. That will make life easier when adjusting the bolt.

O (Big ol' bolt ... use your rachet on this one)

My art skills astound me

Well guys i've tried all your suggestions and i can't get any to work. I'm gonna have to find a shop and have them do it/help me out.
To jack it up i have two jack stands along the bed frame by the two front doors...don't know if that matters

The wrench you are using to hold the nut... let it spin until it hits something solid, like where the cross member starts to go up. This way the wrench can't spin anymore because it is jammed against something. Now you can use both hands on the socket on the adjuster bolt and really crank on it.

Make sure when you go get the alignment you tell them not to mess with the T-bars. A lot of times they will align it the easiest way possible... messing with the t-bars. There goes the work you just did.
