Exclamation Switched...

Motor oil to Mobile 1 full synthetic (the new formula) and i noticed an imediate increase in gas millage.

Before was at 17.6 mpg
changed the oil at half a tank
After I got 18.4 mpg

I used a fram oil filter also.

I also have to add that I was not that forgiving on the gas ped. as I was showing off and did a few burn outs.

That's interesting... I wouldn't think changing the oil would affect the mpg at all. Good news though

That's good to hear, I did the same thing, went to Mobil 1 fully synthetic, but I'd suggest another filter as well, I use Napa Gold filters.

I wouldn't think so either, but I switched from regular oil to full synthetic. So, maybe this is the reson for the increase.

Well if that is the case, you could argue the more expensive synthetic oil pays for itself with the mpg increase
