Steelies?

For those of you that have them..where did you get them and for how much?

I got some 285/75/r16 Goodyear MTR's the other day, but apparently their not supposed to be installed on a stock rim. So I'm looking to go with steelies..just wondering where you guys have got them, what kind, and how much. Thanks

Why can't you put them on a stock rim?

If you want, I could see if my dad's shop can install them. (if worst came to worst) Some shops won't do it when they are a pain. However, if it is unsafe...he'd tell me.

Can you ask him for me Dan? Guy at Discount Tire said the rim has to be at least 8to fit a 285/75/r16, Just curious if what he said was true so if you wouldn't mind asking I'd appreciate it. Thanks Dan

285 mm = 11.22 in

Your tire is almost double the width of the rim. I'm no expert, but I'd say it probably wouldn't be safe.

Summit Racing has Crager black wheel for around $50 per wheel. I'm not sure if this is the size or even the kind you like but it gives you an idea.

^^^^^^discount tire will say that and so will most tire places. its not safe. (supposedly--there are how many on here running that size tire and only 7inch wide rims? several to many right, with no problems)
