speedo quit working

My speedometer/odometer quit working on my truck. the only thing I did was change the transmission, rear main seal and fluids. All the connectors are connected and no SES light(yet). I am leaning toward the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) located on the transfer case, but i didn't take the transfer case out. I disconnected all the connectors and marked them so thier is a high improbability I reconnected them wrong. All of the other guages work. Any ideas.

Check The Lead In The Wire Connectors. Make Sure None Are Loose.

WHOO HOO! Fixed it. start from beginning. remove VSS and using voltmeter set to AC voltage spin gear. Should read about .5 volts. Fine. Check resistance across VSS. Fine. Jack up truck, use load bar from bed to hold clutch. Use mirror to see in hole and spin tire to see that gear on transfer case is spinning. Fine. Following wiring to plug on engine. Use FSM for wiring diagram to see which plug wires to test. Check resistance. None. Uh oH. disconnect sensor an test resistane for each wire. Brown with white stipe no continuity. Replace wire. Test. WORKS like a champ. Thanks for the response dave.
