Speakers?

i got a stock sound system and i was hopin to get the pioneer 4 way 6 1/2 speakers w/ 280 peak power, do i need to get a headunit for these or will they still sound good w/ my stock system

i doubt they will sound bad, but im sure with a headunit any speakers will sound better.

but they will still sound better than my stock right? and i wont lose bass by doin this will i?

Well not that our trucks have that much bass, but if the are 4 ways you will hear more highs.

You won't bring them near their full potential without a head unit..but they're definitely better than stock.

you can run them fine with your stock headunit. the paper units that come stock in these nissans make just about any speaker sound better..lol...but my recommendation is the alpine type r speakers they have a better range for base and instrumentals.

i cant find the alpine type r speakers, i checked bestbuy.com and circuitcity.com i found alpine type s seakers though, if u could send me a link for the type r or is there any difference?

and the JBL will have a better bass and clarity than my stock? do i need to purchase anything to install them? sry bout askin all the questions this is my 1st time doin any of this stuff and i want to make sure i dont screw up the truck

Oooh Yeah! jbl is a professional grade brand (imo far superior to pioneer), I have heard these in my friends silverado with stock stereo, and they are worlds ahead of stock speakers, plus they have a level control for the tweets. if you want they also make these in a 3 way speaker.
