Replace 5-sp w/ 6-sp?
I have a 98 KC 4x4, 4-cyl. Great truck. 65k orig. miles. Recently pulled 2 large ATV's over 300 miles & afterwards the manual was making a lot of whining/rattling noise, esp 3rd & 5th. Got it checked & the manual tranny is cooked, so I need a replacement. Does anyone make a 6-speed for this truck? If not - what about a remanufactured? I've looked on ebay & locally & can't seem to find one anywhere. What about other Nissan models for a tranny swap? Suggestions?

I cant answer the 6speed swap question,but was the trans ever serviced?
Surely pulling the ATV,s couldnt be the cause. I regularly pull 2 large atvs with my harbody without any problems.
