do you mean #4?? cause its 135 on left and 246 on right atleast thats how i saw it and yeah #4 on the SC was a pain in the butt

i just got doin the spark plugs on Nat's truck i had the same issue with #4 , what i did was pulled the wire off the distributor as well as the plug , remove the hoses connected to the metal lines right above that plug so i could push it aside just enough to get a small swivel and a 6" extension
if you do this you will have some antifreeze come out but not much
total job took about 3hrs #4 was about 40 minutes of that

yeah, i actually i think its # 4. Its the plug in the middle on the driver side. After 3 hours on it today I gave up. And now the truck is missing. It feels like i just cant get the socket down over the plug. It under the intake and at an facing left about 20 degrees or 10 oclock. I can only see the very tip. While using a mirror i can see that I have knocked some of the porcelin off so that may be the problem, the missing and keeping the socket from going down. It a huge pain. My hands are very cut up and now the truck is idling bad!!! Not to mention the grinding when I turn seems worse today. . .unrelated. I hope its just some bushings. Does it sound like the entire intake and or supercharger is going to have to be removed to get this plug out?? I dont have the extra money to take it to a shop and tried every combination of extensions to get down to it. Also tried duct tape on a screw driver to remove any porcelen (i cant spell) also the air compresor and shop vac!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

what do you mean by 135, 246? and in what order did you have the socket, extension, swivel? i know you socket extension swivel, im assuming? or socket swivel extension. Im literally going to get out of bed right now and go try this!

i can't help you anymore, I don't know how things line up with the S/C. The truck is probably missing because you probably turned the sparkplug a bit and now it isn't sitting at the correct height.

I'm having the exact same problem with number 4 plug only my truck is naturally aspirated (non-S/C).
The worst thing that happened was the sparkplug rubber plug at the end of the boot came off and is stuck on the plug, buried inside the intake manifold.
Even the number 6 plug was a joke to get out compared to this nightmare.
I'm almost ready to just pull the upper intake enough to just move it out of the way for better access.
All of my plugs were caked in at least 1/2" of mud. I had to scrape all of them with a long screw driver then blow them out just to get the socket to fit on them.
Change your plugs earlier than the suggested 105k miles kids.
Especially if you actually wheel your truck.

Any ideas on how to get the spark plug wire rubber cap off the plug buried in the intake manifold?
I'm losing patience.

if you figure something out let me know. My truck is parked outside waiting on me to fix it. I apparently moved the plug a little because now its missing. I knocked the porcelian off it too and pieces are wedged in the side of it. Honestly at this point I think the intake might have to be moved. Maybe if you put double sided tape around your socket yuo could get the rubber out.

getting pics of #4 for the Sc right now and the lines i moved to get to it , if you have an air take or c02 see if you can blow the porclin out , also if you dont have one go to autozone and pickup extension with a magnet on the end

sorry i didnt put comma's in there supposed to be #1,#3,#5 on passside , #2,#4,#6 on drivers side oh and the duct tape was a trail repair lol , getting a new intake hose today hopefully

drop the socket and swivel onto the spark plug then attach the long extension

in pic # 2 you can see the gold looking line , there are 2 of those welded together and they are right above that plug , those lines will only move towards the firewall a little bit after you take the hoses off in pic #3 , but it was enough for me to get in there and pull the plug
