re-gearing

Ok, so i have read on other threads a bit about re-gearing. My question is, where should I go to buy the new gear and what has worked for you guys as far as gear ratios for your trucks? Mine is a '99 3.3L and I have 32's on it. My power feels ok but my speedometer is way off so thats what I'm really trying to compensate for. Any thoughts or advice helps. Thanks!

Well if all you're interested in is recalibrating your speedo, you can always invest in a Scangauge like I did, although me also running 32s I wouldn't mind a little more power as well and might end up re gearing as well if I get up the time and energy...

I guess after all that said it's still a useless post, lol

i bought new differentials with a more appropriate gear size in them and just installed the diffs.

if you 4x4...you realize you will have to do the front and rear.

look at the sticker in the door jam of your truck....what axle code do you have? that will tell you what gears you currently have.

randy's ring and pinion, you will have to google it for the web adress, brain failing me, it probably the best place to shop for new ring and pinon gears anywhere, tons of good info, very knowlegable tech line staff and he sells the complete install kits with all the washers, bearings, ect that is needed for a proper install, good prices too..
