Pull the sensor out by unscrewing the two screws and just spray the hell out of it

Yup... I didn't really see a difference after I cleaned mine but never hurts to clean something. Do not touch the sensor, only the black piece on top of the sensor.

If you've got an intake or any filter with oil you should actually do it a little more often due to the fact that the oil from the filter is always going into the engine and passing by the MAF Sensor, even if you think the filter is dry, there is always extra oil on them. I do mine every now and again as I feel like it. I've probably done it 4-5 times since I've owned the truck. I'm sure you know how to do it and what to use, right? MAF Sensor Cleaner or Electrical Contact Cleaner. The MAF Cleaner is basically the same stuff as the contact cleaner but just costs twice as much. I always do the contacts on the plug too cause it wont hurt anything to do it.

if you got 4-10 hp out of cleaning your maf, you'd see every ricer with a bottle of MAF cleaner where they put their fire extinguisher.

just got done cleaning it, took me all but 3 minutes lol, it didn't seem to dirty but with 46k miles and a K&N filter i know something had to of been on there, i sparyed the hell out of it with the CRC stuff, im about to go out for a drive and get some gas i'll see if it idles any smoother, haha yeah the 4-10 hp more at the wheels is just a sales pitch but like i said i bought it to clean my MAF up so it won't cause any problems in the near future plus a clean MAF is a good MAF.
