Popping Noise

Ok so my truck just decided to start making a Popping Noise when I press the clutch. I finally went out and bought a flash light and found the Clutch Spring under the Dash to be the culprit. Anyone Seen this before? If so what was your fix?

Here are 2 fairly bad pictures

This one is the Clutch released

And this ones w/ it pressed in.

I reach for the volume knob when I hear annoying noises.. lol In that pic it looks like the spring is bent? How is it mounted? can it be romoved? If so take it out get in the phone book(yellowbook.com) start calling hardware shops. If I remember correctly there is a company thats sole purpose in life is to make springs... sorry for the lack of help..

Well it turns out it was the bushings the spring rides in. $10 for 2 springs and some time and its good as new.
