This is the frontier chirpin three gears at the track just listen.. And that stuff is sticky!

And this is the pathfinder burnin the tires but once it hits second its nooo bargain!

impressive, the new 4.0s are a powerhouse, if i were to get a new frontier i'd get a 6 speed now any pathfinder from 2001-2004 had a vq35, years 2000 and older had a vg33 which is in the first gen trucks, i honestly don't think these engines aren't that bad if put in the right truck, a heavy a$$ pathfinder no but a king cab frontier these things are pretty powerful.

yeah....honestly, i think the ka24E in my old 91 hardbody had more low end torque and better accel than the DE....it didn't have a tach, but i noticed it was quicker off the line than fronty....fronty hits its sweet spot above 2500 i think. i'm not positive but idk...possibly emissions has dogged it all down in the course of 10 yrs?

Manual version, yes. Automatic, hell no. I've driven both and I can tell you the auto is slow as crap.

The KA will move, but you gotta get past 3K for it to do so

yeah i would imagine the manual would be peppy, i don't know why nissan would put a car engine in a truck though, i don't mind my slushbox in the city traffic and all but when i feel racey i wish i ha a manual, i also wish sometimes i had a s/c also but all and all im happy with my truck and what its capable of.

The 3.3 without question has much more low end grunt than a KA24DE ,but from a 35 mph or so roll I will take a 3.3NA.
King or crew cab.
This is of course with a manual trans.

The KA24DE has much better top end.

Thats correct.
The KA24E makes the same 154 ft lbs of torque as the DE, but it makes it at 3600 rpm vs the DE,s 4000 rpm.

The KA24E also makes 85% of its 154 ft lbs at 1000 rpm.
My Hardbody is definently a better puller than my Fronty ,but its also some 600lbs lighter.

I noticed mine does pretty well if I shift around 3000-3500 RPM's and let off. It's slow, but ain't drastically slow
