can any one help me on how to reset the light from the cruscontrol ,the light that says "SET" keeps blinking on and off .what could be the problem and what can i do to fix it.

first....unhook the battery for at least 15 mins and then plug it back up. that should reset the trucks computer. if that doesn't work....

according to the manual, it means the system is in fail safe mode.

it suggest checking the ASCD brake/stop lamp switch, steering switchs, vehicle speed sensor, and ASCD motor actuator cicuit. (ASCD is just an acronym for cruise control.)

its a rather involved process and i can email you the pdf documents if you like. just send me a email address.

i would first check under the dash and look at the brake pedal, clutch pedal, gas pedal switches. basically little switches that detect if the pedal is pushed in or not. check and make sure the connections and plugs are good. i would also check the speed sensor. thats on the tranny. its a plug that runs to a sensor that runs down into the tranny and on one of the gears. just make sure its plugged up tightly.
