yeah thats why i probably won't do it lol not worth taking the engine out and rebuilding for only a 30 hp diffrence, unless i used h beam rods balanced crank and deep dish pistons.

it'd be a nice replacement for you s/c guys though.

The ER's have differnet internals or just a different compression? I understood all VG33's to have a steel forged crank, and forged pistons/rods.

I'm still learning the truck game, but this is definitely true for the 200sx I had... the 200sx se-r runs the same motor as the 240, but without the turbocharger, so that motor comes standard with forged pistons, rods, etc, and was almost indestructable. Seems like, when it comes to 'lower-grade' versions of the same product, Nissan sees no need to cut corners.

not quite... the 240sx had the KA24DE, the same (for the most part) as the 1st gen 4 bangers. no turbo. The 200sx here (sentra ones) had an SR20DE or something very similar, which was the NA version of a very powerful and very potentially monstrous beast.

and i think i would benefit more from an s/c...

I have a truck. It gets me from A to B. Why I spend so much money changing it, I will never know. Is there a cure for this disease? I have no idea what I would be using all my money for if there was a cure.
