NGK sparkplugs

Does anyone know what kind of gains if any a good pair of NGK sparkplugs would give me. I think their best they offer are the iridium tip ones for like $11 a piece and supposedly they help accelleration and MPG. I've been thinking of doing this and adding new sparkplug wires instead of doing my sound system project and i'm putting off painting my engine cover as well. I thought this would be a better project now that it is cold and wait for spring for the others (I dont have a garage).

plugs wont give you gains per say, but they might help get back some power, good plugs are always good along with good wires

when i changed the plugs in the truck i went with the stock stuff. i kept reading on all the boards that the high dollar ones just would not perform better...and possibly as well as the stockers because of various other factors (can't remember what all of the reasons were at this time).

on my 240, i did however upgrade to the bosch platinum +4 plugs and i can't tell any difference. honestly....the car even seems more sluggish at low rpm.

does a stock vehicle ignition system even produce enough spark to take advantage of some of the higher end plugs? i don't know.

Yeah I did a little reading as well. I think with the right wires and plugs you can get some power back and get better accelleration due to better fuel combustion and you can save some gas. The spark plugs i"m thinking about getting are the premium kind but not the racing kind they make, putting in the true high performance ones wouldn't do any good and would just hurt if anything.

I'll probably do this project, I just need to find a good place I can get these sparkplugs the cheapest. Also I want to get the NGK wires as well because I hear it's important to get the right wires, but I believe NGK make blue wires, perhaps I can request them in red instead.

i have NGK iridium sparks and plugs and they have better mpg and idle response.. plus it holds power in higher rpms...

if you want premium, NGK plugs and wires.. but the best is nology wires.

and as long there's right spark and mixure of air, you have better power..

NGK all the wayyyyy, i have used NGK on my race quad (used the same set for a whole season) and sled for years, and believe it or not, when i first got my sled, i took out the stock polaris ones and put in NGKs, made another .77 more HP at the crank

^ i kno, nothing noticable, but it came out to +3.6 HP with a set of NGK wires as well (i used to race my sled in a class were you cant touch the internals of the motor, only jetting and plugs were all you could do, every little horsepower was necessary, initial HP: 102.5, final HP, with just plugs and carb tweaks: 116.7)

sooo i think its worth it

plus being as how those are 2 strokes, ive tried tons of brands, NGK lasts the longest everytime

but thats just my opinion

The first thing I did to my truck after I bought it was replace the aging plugs and wires. I got a set of Champion iridiums and some NGK 7mm wires. It regained a lot of lost power after I installed them.

Plus it's always a good idea to replace your cap and rotor when you do plugs/wires. GP Sorensen makes well-made caps and rotors for the 3.3L. They are generally around $30 total for both, after tax at advance auto.

I think autozone carries them

Ive been ordering everything from them. When it comes to plugs NGK for Nissans,Toyota denso or ngk,Jeep champion, bmws bosch. You really cant beat NGK plugs and for a nissan its a no brainer. I wouldnt spend more than you have to just go stock platinum plugs. I just changed my 03 corollas plugs with ngk platinum but was ready on the side of engine use only iridum lol i may pull them out.
