In 03 and 04 they had a model called "SVE" which I believe stood for Super Value Edition. This model, while not in vast supply only came in 4x4 and also included the SC , but otherwise was between an XE and SE as far as other options and was priced slightly higher than an SE. I almost bought one of these but couldn't get over the damn pin striping they put on them. If i could rewind time though I might have made a different choice...
What else would be needed, besides just the charger? I actually saw a s/c on Ebay that sold for a little over $100. But I thought that there was still a lot $ involved. And how is the durability?

I have a '01 SC CC 4x4. A few years back, my dad used to own a 01 CC 4x4 without the blower. My dads old truck is the reason I bought one myself (he got rid of his and I missed it dearly ), so I've driven both, and here's my opinion.

I always thought the 3.3 was a bit weak, and needed the extra oomph. I undestand it's a truck, and not a racecar, but I go camping/snowboarding/general fun in the mountains a lot, and I remember my dads truck struggling a bit up big hill loaded up with people and gear.

The SC solves that problem, but still leaves a bit to be desired in the performance department. It pulls GREAT in the low end. Reaches full boost and TQ (250) at 2800RPM. Problem is, it sort of falls flat on it's face in higher RPMs.

Don't get me wrong, it has more than enough power for what it is, and I'm happy I got the SC model, I just don't think it should be a deciding factor in the purchase. I just couldn't pass it up since I got the truck for a hair over 16K with only 42K miles. Fully loaded, leather, nice wheels, supercharged, and even came with a nice camper shell.

Also, things to watch out for with the SC is the bearings in the front. Mine went out shortly after I bought the truck. Luckily for me, I got it from a dealership and opted for a 3 year 36 thousand mile bumper to bumper warranty, so I got a new blower for free. weee.

I hope that helped some. The truck is great, you won't be dissapointed. When we sold my dads', it had just over 100K on it, and drove like it was new, despite being trashed on and off road for its entire life.

Good luck!

I honestly can't say as I've never looked into it enough but here's the link to the kit - http://www.alpine-developments.us/nissansc.html

At the very least you're going to need gaskets, intake tube, the pulley & belt. Not sure, but you may also need to modify the ECU or may need an ECU from an SC model.

Buy it!!

I have an 03 XE which I thought was pretty sluggish stock. It's a crew cab and carries a lot (yes, "a lot" is 2 words!) of weight. With the K & N and the catback, the manual transmission compensates for the lack of power. Running up the RPMs does decrease the gas milage though (18 highway). The bigger tires don't help either.

Who cares though, the 1st generations look *****n' and that's really what's important....right?
