too little back pressure can hinder the performance of a s/c model. i know that too little back pressure is not good, but i don't think a cat-back system really reduces it all that much. your supercharger is only pumping about 5psi, so its not like its a huge gain over stock. in other words, it will fit, but it is not recommended.

the Y pipe should fit another system, since it simply replaces your stock pipe. however, they don't sell it separately.

damn i really want that y pipe it looks so good and will most likely give me more power. i looked up the nismo exhaust on the internet and says it gives the reg frontys only like 6.5-7 hp and cc long bed models only 5.5 hp and magnaflow gives me hopefully 10 hp and 23 lb ft tq. IMHO the nismo as i know don't get me wrong its a nice system but isn't worth the money it is but i would like to get that y pipe mmmmmmm.

nismo not worth the money? so you are saying that you paid twice what the nismo cost for a "cat back" exhaust that doesn't replace the stock Y pipe. the Y pipe is the worst part of the stock system! the bends are terrible, and it is the most inefficient part of the whole exhaust system.
i think you paid $650 for a pipe and a muffler.

i have to agree the nismo is worth the money, if just for the y pipe but from what ive heard it sounds great....go for it.......i will even though it isnt recommended......if it doesnt work i'll sell it

hey i googled the nismo cat back took me to a site where they sell it and they wanted $485 for a 6 hp increase the magnaflow gives a 10 hp increase, im not busting on the nismo products im a huge nissan fan and love nismo products im just giving facts if you got a great deal on the nismo exhaust i would take it too but just what i found 485 dollars for 6 hp just isn't worth the money to me, but if you look im guessing on any exhaust company no one but nismo makes the y pipe to go along with the rest of the exhaust but im not sure on that maybe someday when my magnaflow gets old i'll swap it out for a nismo exhaust if still made

theres no way in hell you are getting 10hp from a magnaflow with the stock Y pipe. the stock Y pipe is the most restrictive component (besides maybe the cat) on the stock exhaust system.

it was dyno proven on magnaflows site for the 3.3 liter frontier 10 hp and 23 ft lb of tq. im not sayin its true but thats what it says, i was lookin at the nismo exhaust b4 i bought my magnaflow really liked the quality of the nismo but i seen magnaflow put down more numbers plus everyone i talked to recommended the magnaflow over the nismo i guess peer pressure won that one. i just wish i could get that y pipe from the nismo exhaust though looks like a nice peice plus give me more power, im sure nismo would know what they are doing when building high performance parts considering they build high performance parts specifically for nissans. but i love my magnaflow its got a nice low rumble and i can feel the diffrence in hp when i had it installed i love it

yeah the vg33e is a great motor built strong good low end grunt i like them, i never really driven a cc with the vg33e do i dunno how performace is i know for 1 thing the crew cab long bed models w/o the s/c version the vg33er must be dogs but i know my kc is pretty peppy, can peel out when just flooring it pretty happy with it NISSAN POWER!
