Joe, What did you do with the spare wires just caped them off? I just want to make sure the green and black wires are the only ones used.

If I remember right the fans are two speed fans. Using the 4 wires allow the fans to turn at different speeds independently. I used the wires for the high speed and just capped the rest. (I beleive that is what I did)

Looking through this thread I noticed at least one person that says the 1999 Maxima fan fits perfectly. The how-tos all refer to the 89-94.
If I were to do this mod today, what would be the recommended fan for best fit? Im going with dual fans just to be sure it works OK in traffic with A/C. It also looks like for dual fans to work reliably Ill need a controller? Like the SPAL or FlexaLite?
I had a flex a lite and an maxima fan. ill sell my dual fan for 30 plus shipping.

why not just get a hayden electric fan? two wires a perfect fit and they are easy to find
What model? Is it a dual fan? What controller/relays are required?
"Fit" is relative it seems. It not only needs to fit on the radiator, but it should have a relatively correct shroud/CFM rating to ensure it keeps the radiator cool.
Does anyone know the high and low wiring for the maxima fans? There are 4 wires, blue, green, yellow and black (ground, right!).
If I recall correctly, blue and green are power, yellow and black are ground (power and ground for each fan). I wired each fan separately with the Hayden 3647 which has 2 power leads, although both fans always come on at the same time anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
My fans work great until the Hayden controller died right as I was leaving my house to drive across the country...got lucky I was still near home.
