I need new rear leafs in my 2003 Supercharged Crew Cab (like bad, I just picked this up and each side has a broken leaf) but i'm having a heckuva time locating any in Canada. I'm not averse to sourcing from the US if I have to but I'm scared of getting whacked with exorbitant duty & brokerage fees so i'd prefer to do my business on this side of the line but google turns up nothing, just helper springs. The previous owner said she had a hard time trying to find them too and called a few wreckers across the country with no luck.
Yes, never listen to this old guy on stuff like that.
I'm really wimping out now days. There was a time tho when I'd tackle anything. Not only to save money but I enjoyed working on the trucks and cars I've owned.
Now slowing down on that stuff. Did install a new radio unit tho. ::smile::Took me forever. In the sig.
Maybe you can buy the springs from a spring shop. Then do your own labor. They might even be priced reasonably.
Thing is the only spring shop within a 3 hour drive from me seems to be not in business anymore anyways. I cringe to think what they would be through Napa or some such place.
A more technical question though: On the US spring sites I see the SC listed as having specific springs, are they really different from the regular Fronty 4X4? Or would the regular 4X4 ones work fine?
Nvrmnd: Looks like the regular 4X4 ones are 3/8" shorter.
Just saw your location and no nothing in your area but just across the line I see there are several places that have them listed. Having used parts shipped across the boarder isn't that bad... I have had parts shipped up many times. Just shop around and negotiate shipping charges.
