Just got some new rims and tires mounted up how many weights is to much?

I ordered the rims and tires off line then went to discount tire for putting them together. I was saying good things about them but had a problem today! They dunked my new rims and tires in dirty water, they removed the bluing and stickers. Im pissed they did this now ive got scratches when they toweled them off plus the water could have been caustic to clean the blue argggg. Almost all the wheels have 12 or more weights is this correct? Just posted this picture to stay on topic

Now you've learned your lesson, nobody gives a sh!t about your wheels except you and premium wheel/tire retail shops.

dkeeling speaks the truth....unfortunately. surprised this bothers you so much. i am sure they are still in very good shape. wash em and see how they turn out.

what?......no comment about how rims for your old wrangler would have looked better?

that is a **** load of weights

you can use as many weights as it takes to balance a tire though, as long as they are all touching

if you think it's wrong take it to another shop and ask them to check but it will cost you some money

I guess one of the advantages of doing it your self is knowing whether you did it right or not!
