i don't agree with that nismofan.
I built a race motor for a customer of mine, honda civic. He ordered a ton of parts with a jackson racing supercharger. The parts he brought to me were setup for turbo. But that isn't the right thing to do. Supercharged motors need the backpressure to build the boost against. When you free up the flow on a supercharged motor it actually looses boost because it doesn't have much to build pressure against. I do agree that you have to overdrive the supercharger to get the same boost pressure, if you free up the flow. Therefore it works the supercharger harder, decreasing the life of the blower.. And removing the cats won't make the motor spin that belt any faster than if the cats where there! hope this helps... nate |

I am replacing the cats only because the fronty has a code P0430. I bought some Magnaflow cats replace them.
I have performance Exhaust, K&N air filter and a smaller 2.4" pulley. I would like to install an electric fan if I can find one that will fit without spending $400 Is there anything else to do to get more power out of the supercharged fronty? |
