hard shifting

i have an 04 crew cab longbed 4x4 with an automatic trans. no supercharger. i heard a loud bang from underneath the truck a couple of weeks ago, and ever since the 1-2 shift has been really rough under light throttle. if i get on it, it shifts fine. none of the other gears do this, and it really has me baffled.

Check Your Trans Oil For Color. And Smell If It Smells Burnt Or Is Brownish Change It Very Soon. Its Easy. Go To The Dealer Get Nissan Trans Fluid. 4 Quarts And A Drain Plug Gasket.
But Dont Change It If Its Never Been Changed For More Than 50,000 Miles. You Could Open A Big Bag Of Worms!!

Interesting...this sounds very familiar

I have an 03 SuperCharged CC Long Bed, and the 1-2 shift has been making me nervous for the year that Ive owned it. Under as much as 1/2 throttle, the 1-2 shift feels like the transmission is going to fall out of the bottom of the truck as it snaps my neck into the seat. I brought the truck in for service before my factory warranty expired and brought this up to the service advisor. They test drove the vehicle and said the truck was shifting right on schedule (they gave me a copy of the shift schedule diagram). I have noticed that after the transmission is warm, the issue goes away. Hopefully temperature is the ONLY issue, and im not looking at a future transmission overhaul...
