My kit showed up a week and a half ago, and its still sitting on my coffee table...

It looks pretty there though. One of these days I might even find time to install it.

Mine is still sitting in the floor. I'm going to attempt to install it sometime this week after it cools down.

didn't notice any "performance" gains, my electronics do work better. i can't speak for the first gen kit but things like my power windows and dash lights work better than before, noticably.
Just wondering how you can tell a difference? Do the windows move faster? Are the dash lights brighter? Thanks

It has been mentioned that the grounding kit makes the electronics work better. Given that I have a post going about the mysterious electronic glitches that the 4 wheel drive system gives from time to time. Has any other 4X4 owner installed the grounding kit and noticed more stability in the electronics that control the transfer case? I would love to know if all random errors are caused by bad ground.

On my 98 Frontier, I added my own grounding cable. I basically added one from the block to the battery, radiator support to the battery. It made a noticable difference. Lights were brighter, truck ran smoother. I'm sure that also had something to do with the truck being older and also having 110k miles on it. A new truck? I'm not sure it's needed. My .02

Made and installed a grounding kit on my truck this weekend, really cant say that I have seen many improvements. The truck starts easier thats about it, this week I am thinking about adding a cable from the grounding point near the battery to the Tcase. Making the kit was easy and cheap ($30) Bought all that I needed from Home Depot (20 feet of AWG8, shrink tubing) and Autozone (zip ties, gold plated connectors). Used a shoe lace and a tape measure to get all the required lengths for the cable and then went to town. I grounded from the battery to the left fender ground point, a few ground points across the engine and then to right fender. That took about 12.5 feet of cable in total. The hardest part was trying to stay cool, It was 100 outside. Again dont know if my time and money will be worth anything but I will report back to you guys about it.

So what are you guys paying for your pre-measured wires... im curious. Like some guys here, I have a box of cable laying around with ring terminals from my years installing stereos/eletronics... i always laughed at grounding kits... because all my stereos/etc.. had dedicated power connctions, they didnt use the factory wires.
