somehow i dont think he's talking about grooves that small, more likely the same one Jags get that are about 2-3mm wide towards the outer edge of the rotors. But that just an assumption since few here are precise in wording and leaves us all to guestimate

2-3 mm wide gaps arn't grooves, that's damage.

just replace them. always at least resurface the rotors. it is necissary for the new pads to seat themselves properly.

tirerack.com has great deals. might even upgrade to slotted rotors while you're at it.
