going up

Hi guys & girls I have an 01 crew cab that I am thinking about lifting.
What are my choices for a suspension lift ? I'm not a fan of a body lift, they look silly in most applications.

Could anyone post a couple pics of their lifts with size & brand please?

I am thinking something like a 2 - 3 inch lift for mine.

Thanks
Patrick

You can do a PML which is a single aal or shackles and a t-bar crank. The single aal will give you about 2" of lift in the rear and shackles give you about 1" maybe 1.5". You can also buy a full package from AC or Calmini. Thoses "lift kits" include UCAs, AAL and or shackles shocks and other goodies. You have a wide range of stuff to chose from.

I have Calmini's 3inch suspenion lift. I think its a great but just a little too stiff in the front tho. Other then that. The nost you can do on a 1st Gen is 3inch suspension and/or 2-3inch body. Unless you go custom. Hope this helps.

If you want more than 3" suspension, better go with SAS.

What is an SAS ? Will it give a better ride on the highway ?

Hertz do you have any other pics of your truck? I think that is about the stance I am looking for.

I am not looking for anything to big. I drive the truck a lot and want to keep it comfortable. I already have a Jeep I lifted with a spring over and shackle reversal that is my off road toy. Just trying to get the Frontier a little bit bigger, I have LT 265/75R16's on it that are just a hair over 31". They look just a little big for the wells.

Here is my play toy

A sas is putting an axle like the one under the front of your jeep into your frontier. It would ride like your jeep on the highway most likely. I would just stick with a 3 inch lift from AC or total chaos.

the TC lift is WAY too expensive if you only want "a better stance".

and here are some more pictures, they're pretty old. since them ive put a roll bar in and 32 inch bfg mt's.

Another choice is Calmini. Not necessarily better or worse than AC, but it gives you something else to look at. I have theirs, and cranked the t-bars up, probably a little too much. Here's a pic, but I have a 3" body lift and 33's so it won't be nearly that high.
