Exclamation Which fuse?!?!?!?!

I lost the light from the dash! The light that illuminate the speedometer, the lights that illuminate that heating console and when I take the keys out and open the door leaving the lights on the sounding beeping alram doesn't come on.
It's probably a fuse but which one???
I removed and visually inspected everyone from under the driver's side dash and the other little fuses under the hood next to the battery.
There are other big fuses in that compartment that I don't know how to check, could it be one of those?

I have a truck. It gets me from A to B. Why I spend so much money changing it, I will never know. Is there a cure for this disease? I have no idea what I would be using all my money for if there was a cure.

What is a gauge dimmer?

WTF, I know it gets over looked, But come on!
I have checked almost all the fuses and can't find it.

Maybe I am not turning the dimmer hard enough, I have turned it all the way up, and all the way down, then back up. want to try it?

Sorry I am just a little frusterated!!!!!!

gauge dimmer: used to dim your gauges!!!!

you rotate it to adjust the brightness of the backlight on your gauges, so you dont get distraced or whatever.

but try the fuses underhood as well.

A few years back I remember a few people that had issues with the dimmer switches failing. I do not remember if the Smart Entrance Control Unit takes an input from the dash light circuit (The SECU is the box with the chime in it). If your power door locks work then the SECU is getting power. I will have to check on the diagrams when I get home.

I am pretty sure the doors lock, I thought I heard them when I pressed the button?? ( I will check 4 sure)

My parking lights and tail lights work and I checked those fuses?

I checked the horn, I checked the lighter, dome lights work???

Like I said I just put an avic-d3 head unit in. I have a Rockford fosgate truck and the stock wiring was diffrent then the generic wiring harness. I have a purple wire on the stock side that powers the amp, on the aftermarket side it was a speaker wire. I had to jump the blue amp relay from the other aftermarket harness to that stock purple wire, then I had sound.

I also wired the dimmer and illumination to the orange on the pioneer and plugged everything in, this is when I blew the fuse and or panel? I called the tech at "best buy" I have now cut the dimmer wire. (this is all on the after market harness).

And the other problem, My stock deck had 3 harness plugs the after market kit only came with 2?

My question is Nissan would not have wired the dash lights to get power from the deck would they? what do those yellow wires on the third plug go to? I was told just not to use them.

I have checked all my wiring from the head unit install, I am sure it is correct and grounded. I know this because I unplugged all the after market stuff and replaced it with stock and still no dice. (I have not cut or damaged any of the stock wires or harness)

didnt label them well? they did a HORRIBLE job and personally, i could be looking at a map of the process for cold fusion (which is still a theory) in Russian and have the same understanding for which fuses go where.

just pull each one out, one at a time, and then maybe just maybe you will find the right one.

oh and i know that youre trying to cover all the bases and whatever, but please, dont pull crap with like 3 threads in different places, 01yzf...?
