fuel question
I have a 2000 cc se 4x4 I have noticed that some gas companies are now putting 10% ethanol in the fuel My fronty does not like it at all.if I use fuel without the ethanol mix the truck gets about 16 mpg with no problems.If I use the ethanol mix The truck gets about 12mpg and it will set a knock sensor code.switch fuels and its happy once again.Now the problem is that all companies will be going to ethanol mix.Can I get a ecu program that will tweak the system for 10% ethanol mix.I have been doing some reading and on of the things that were addressed to make a flex fuel vehicle was the knock sensors.Please I am no expert so info will be accepted good or bad. This is just my personal experiance.
