Talking Fixed my cold start rattle!!

so yesterday i changed my oil with Mobil1 synthetic, 3quarts, and half a quart of MMO, and added a K&N Oil filter ( this filter has an anti-drainback valve that keeps the oil from draingin out of the top of the motor after shutoff) and when i started it up this morning i had the door open and listened very carefully, nothin! i was a bit sceptic of this at first because the filter was 12 bucks, but IMO its way worth it to get dif of that annoying/embarasing rattle. anyone else try this out?

mobil 1 filters are exactly the same and cheaper, I've examined and chopped them up and the only difference is the label and that you can take the k&n off with a wrench/socket

good filter none the less though

I used to use the k&n but then I switched to the mobile 1 filter because it's the same thing and cheaper

yeah i used to use the K&N filters then i switched to amsoil and use their oil filters, my lifters tap for a sec or 2 on a cold start up but as i was told any engine does that, my engine runs better than it ever did with RP, mobil 1 is good stuff also thats why all the high end car companies reccomend mobil 1, glad to hear your rattle went away.

^ The "good" filters use a silicone (orange) anti drain back valve, but the cheap ones use something else which looks black (plastic?), so you done good by buying the K&N.

Umm, did you ask WTF they put in your engine? and will the "magic" wear off.
whew....sorry for my rant, i don't trust dealers, if you have one you trust, thats good for you and jealous for me.
