I've noticed lately seeing quite a few up for sale / trade. I figured it was related to cost of gas.

You know they were real popular down here once upon a time but not alotta them just kinda dissappeared. No, they weren't being traded in, and the ones that were on the lot sold real quick. The other day a silver 4x4 cc went for like 14k.

Shoot, I guess these little buggers weren't designed for gas, but I think a lotta kids take em to school and wherever when they leave. I know at the university there's like 5 of them in front of one residence lol...

Depends on where you live.. I was trying to sell mine for $10500.00 a while back.. but gave up..Everyone that called ended the conversation when the found out what kind of MPG it gets.. Oregon is all about hybrids and electric cars right now.. Just had to take $3200 for a 96 jeep grand limited that bluebooked at 7K. Had it for sale for almost three months..

Tell me about it. I am looking everywhere for a reasonably priced first gen and I can only get like 4-6 on autotrader. It sucks too that when I find one in town, they are super high.

I need to have a streak of good luck. Anyone know of an old man that has one and looks like he might kick the bucket soon? That way, I know its been taken care of and not run to h*ll.

I found my truck on some website that listed vehicles and dealerships from the Eastern Panhandle of WV and the surrounding states of maryland, PA, and VA. I got the link from a friend who was into cars. Since then, I've never been able to find the same website.

i got lucky w/ mine. its was in south jersey that had this truck as a trade-in in a pontiac dealership. so they put it down for 14k, down 2k from when they first got it cuz it sat in their lot for 3months which pretty much means they have to lower it beyond what they wanted for it.

First Gens in the SLC

Here in Salt Lake City, Utah everybody drives MONSTER full-size trucks, most of them diesel. With the cost of gas the little trucks are gaining momemtum. Even though our fronties are not great on gas, they're better than an F350 V10. I drive by a Tim Dahle Nissan dealership every day on my way to work and I see different first gens on and off the lot weekly. I'll never sell mine, even if I replace it with a new one.
