There is a valve in the Evap system that probably has trash in it and will not close fully to hold pressure on the vapor recovery system. It's like if you leave your gas cap off. Have you checked your fuel cap? If it is tight then there is a valve that is leaking by, they should replace it under warranty if you are still under it.

Ford Rangers used to have the same problem. I don't think the valve for Frontys are as expensive, Maybe under $40 from the dealer. I would try to clean it and clear the code, before buying. Or if you have a way to check the pressure, see if it holds.

P0455 Evap gross leak. Can be gas cap, vent control valve, cracked evap canister, and lots of other things. Usually the cap or vent control valve. In the rustbelt, the vent control valves are notorious.

The sending unit o ring might be leaking. Look on the driveshaft side of your fuel tank for a gas stain. You'd also smell fumes w/a full tank, on a hot day.

Run it 'till it breaks and fix it faster!
