Electric fan

Just some basic info on what i used. thanx to josh19k for the info he shared. Without him i would've never attempted it.

89-94 nissan maxima dual electric fan setup (75$ shipped off ebay)
Torq Flo electric fan thermostat (17.99 autozone)

After looking at josh19k's pics, i mounted the fan 180degrees from the way he did. So there are some options when fitting them in there. Other than that we pretty much did the same thing. Some might not agree with the use of zipties, but i like to keep it simple.. There is 4 wires coming from each fan.
Black-ground
blue & green-both activate the fans in the same direction and speed(to pull air)
yellow- not used when putting it in our trucks

Since the blue and the green activate the fans you can use one for the temp activation and the other for your a/c activation.
I just did this yesterday and it is working great, but i do have to make some changes. This thermostat control will still allow the fan to come on while the truck is off. Im going to put another relay connected to an ignition source. So this won't happen. The thermostat is adjustable, and is simple to adjust(flat head screw). It comes with a probe to put in the upper radiator hose. And you also need to get another hose clamp that you can tighten up pretty good to seal around the probe wire.
Ive driven the truck all evening yesterday with no problems.
I can't believe how quiet my truck is now.. Sorry if i left something out, it is really one of the easiest mods to do...

CRAP,, my camera is having some issues.. Oh well here is a pic of the parts.. ill get some more today..

i don't really push the truck, but i can tell you it seems to have lowered my rpms at 50mph.. The truck also gets up to speed much smoother..

I set mine up deliberately that way and there are no problems, but I'm curious to know why you want it to be igniton-only.

waste of battery and it would be odd to be parked somewhere and your fan is buzzin.

So Everything works? I've been very interested in this mod since I first saw the original thread by josh19k.

Out of curiosity, do the ties hold ok? Thats the only thing I'm worried bout...
